Funniest thing you’ve seen at work (anywhere)?
In my car selling days one of my colleagues was promised a deal if he ate a spider that was just found in the showroom. He ate the spider, but the boss didn’t give him a deal.
Biggest disaster anywhere at work?
As a young apprentice mechanic, I managed literally to crush a customer’s car whilst lifting it up on the ramp. I wasn’t paying attention and I had forgotten to close the big rolling garage door which, when open, sits directly above the ramp. I jammed the door between the car’s roof and the ceiling and only stopped when I heard a very loud crunch. The car was written off and the damage totalled around £15k…
