About the Opportunity

Peace Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with a leading Tier 1 main contractor as they continue to grow their pre-construction team across the Central Belt. Following a recent internal restructure and a strong pipeline of secured projects, this business is now looking to recruit an experienced Estimator.

With a proven track record across public and private sector new builds, this company offers a dynamic and forward-thinking environment, delivering major construction projects throughout Scotland. What You’ll Be Doing

As Estimator, you’ll play a key role in the tendering process—producing competitive, high-quality submissions and working closely with senior leadership, clients, and subcontractors. You'll help shape the success of upcoming multi-million-pound developments across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage tenders from inception through to submission

• Develop accurate cost plans and detailed pricing from first principles

• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants for best-value pricing

• Analyse drawings, specifications, and contract documents

• Contribute to strategic bids, frameworks, and procurement planning

• Support and mentor junior estimators within the team

• Collaborate with pre-construction and commercial teams throughout the process

What We’re Looking For

We want to speak with Estimators and Quantity Surveyors who bring passion, precision, and a strong commercial mindset. This role is ideal for someone looking to join a secure and structured Tier 1 environment with scope for progression.

Ideal Experience & Skills:

• Proven experience in estimating large-scale new build projects

• Familiarity with framework and negotiated contracts

• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness

• Proficient in estimating software such as Conquest or OST (preferred)

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Degree or HND in a construction-related field (preferred but not essential)
