Peace Recruitment are working with a large multi-disciplinary consultancy to recruit a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join there expanding team. The consultancy has secured a range of projects across various sectors, growing their company at the same time. They work domestically and on an international scale, allowing the chance to grow your career and experience. Being a multi-disciplinary company, it means teamwork is a big part of the organisation, communicating with different teams throughout projects is essential.
They are looking for someone to come into their growing team with pre-existing knowledge of the industry so that they can get involved from the first day. Dealing with clients is a large part of this role, so having an in depth understanding of the industry is essential. Ground investigation knowledge is key, the ability to log soil and rocks up to the British and European standards is required. Eurocode 7 design methodologies are also essential to this role.
The role includes:
- Design and manage ground investigations including the site supervision of sub-contractors
- Generate an accurate ground model by reviewing, sorting, and manipulating the investigation data (including AGS data)
- Prepare the drawings, calculations and other documents and maintain they are controlled throughout the project
- Undertake shallow and deep foundation design
- Be proficient in geotechnical software/programming such as Limitstate; GEO, Settle 3D, and Holebase SI. Use of AutoCAD is beneficial.
- Be able to design both temporary and permanent works
- Accountability for the assigned project, take on budget control and relay the financial performance back to Senior management.
- Initial 6 month contract, likely to extend long term
- Looking to offer £30 - £40ph
