Peace Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a regional developer based in Glasgow. They require an energetic and competent person to join their tight knit team. The team is friendly and always willing to listen, the office has a real family feel resulting in a great working environment.

You will be responsible for the commercial function of the business and have scope to introduce new ways of working. You will be the sole quantity surveyor within the team so must be comfortable working alone and have good communication skills. This would suit an individual who is looking to manage their own workload.

The preference for this role is a permanent member of staff but contract may be considered depending on the individuals

Work is secured around the Glasgow are for the next four years. Projects typically range from £1m - £7m in value. The company has a strong financial performance and is looking to grow in a sustainable fashion. The current project is on site and cost plans are in place.

Duties

• Take off’s
• Bill of Quantities
• Managing subcontractors
• Agreement of final accounts
• Ability to drive best value and maximise profitability

Experience required

• General Construction Background
• Relevant BSc or equivalent

• A salary of up to £50,000 permanent DOE or contract £NEG
