A highly respected and long-established Scottish property consultancy is looking to appoint a Residential Land & Development Surveyor into their Glasgow office, with consideration given to candidates from Surveyor level through to Director.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and growing team with a strong pipeline of residential development, valuation and advisory instructions across the Central Belt.
The role would suit someone currently working within residential valuation, development consultancy, or land and development who is looking to broaden their exposure and progress within a well-established business.
The Role
You will be involved in a varied workload including:
- Development appraisals and valuations for national and regional housebuilders/developers
- Secured lending valuation work for private and retail banks on residential development projects
- Portfolio valuation work for major lending institutions
- Pricing studies and viability assessments for developers on forthcoming sites
- Residential development consultancy and advisory work
- Land and site appraisal work
- Client relationship management and business development exposure depending on level
Applications are welcomed from candidates operating at Surveyor, Senior Surveyor or Associate Director level who can demonstrate experience within residential valuation and/or land & development.
Ideal backgrounds may include:
- MRICS qualified or working towards APC
- Residential valuation experience
- Exposure to development or development finance work
- Experience working with lenders, developers or private clients
- Strong report writing and client-facing skills
- Ambition to progress within a long-term career opportunity
