? About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Gas Engineer for our client in Manchester. This is a hands-on and mobile role, providing planned and reactive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair across a variety of commercial properties.
You will be a key player in delivering high-quality service, leading more junior engineers on complex jobs, and supporting contract delivery and compliance across multiple sites.
? Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance of commercial gas appliances and heating systems.
- Diagnose faults and repair commercial boilers, heaters, and pipework.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Complete safety checks, gas inspections, and compliance documentation.
- Liaise with clients on-site and ensure a high standard of service delivery.
- Maintain health and safety and adhere to company procedures and regulations.
? Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial gas engineering.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good understanding of H&S regulations and safe systems of work.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
? Desirable:
- SSSTS or IOSH (or willingness to work towards).
- Previous experience in a senior/lead engineer or supervisory capacity.
- Valid ACS Commercial Gas qualifications (e.g., CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1).
