Peace Recruitment are working on a very exciting and unique opportunity within a specialist sub-contractor  based in the South of Edinburgh. This position should be considered by a Graduate Architectural Technician/CAD Technician with a strong work ethic looking to take their first step, or even an experienced technician looking for a fresh challenge. The successful candidate will get excellent promotion opportunities and will be moved up the career ladder as a priority.

Within this opportunity, you will be given the support and training to develop your skills from both a technical and design viewpoint and will get the opportunity to work on all stages of the process. You will be involved in a range of different types of projects including work on windows, doors, conservatories and sunrooms. This role requires you to have strong inter-personal skills, as well as a strong understanding of construction detailing and specification.

What is required of you:-

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential)
  • Experience producing packages of detailed construction, specification information for warrant/planning applications.
  • A positive and proactive attitude, initiative, motivation, responsibility and commitment.
  • Strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills.
  • A creative approach to design and problem solving.
  • An ability to work independently with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Demonstrable experience in private domestic work.
