Building Surveyor Renfrewshire Unit 2 Washington Court, 6 Washington Lane Scotland EH11 2HA Peace Recruitment >GBP £23-£25 per hour 15088 Permanent Building Surveying 22/04/2019

Job Title: Building Surveyor

Rate: £23-£25 per hour

Duration: 3 months minimum

Freelance opportunity with a public sector organisation based near Glasgow.

You will be providing building surveying services within the housing team. Duties will include identifying causes of building defects, assessing and managing remedial options and providing advice to the maintenance team to resolve defects.

You will need extensive experience with stock condition surveys as my client is looking for a candidate who can lead, develop, manage, monitor and undertake stock condition surveys of its housing stock. In-depth knowledge of SHQS and EESSH is essential to be successful in this role.

You will be the lead officer on the Housing Management IT System. The software used is APEX so experience of using this for inputting data, analysing and advising on the information provided would be beneficial but knowledge of similar software would be sufficient. It will be your responsibility to ensure that data is accurate, identifying mistakes and coordinating any data cleanses required.

The successful candidate will be an experienced building surveyor with experience of building surveying, project management, stock condition surveys and have excellent IT skills. Being a chartered surveyor would be beneficial but not essential. The contract is for a minimum of 3 months with a likely chance of extension. The rate for this role will be £23-£25 per hour depending on experience. This role does fall in-scope of IR35 so this rate is based on payment through an umbrella company.

If you would like any more information about the role please get in touch with Craig Wishart.
