Head of Estate Operations

Position: Location: Salary: Ref: Type: Sector: Posted:
Head of Estate Operations Edinburgh Unit 2 Washington Court, 6 Washington Lane Scotland EH11 2HA Peace Recruitment >GBP £51000 - £55000 41147 Permanent Facilities Management 17/12/2020

Peace Recruitment is working exclusively with a higher education organisation in Edinburgh to recruit a Head of Estate Operations for a 6 month fixed term contract.  Reporting to the Director of Property & Facilities, this is a new role within the Estates department with a focus on improving the Buildings and Maintenance service throughout the estate.

My client is looking for someone to join their Senior Management Team on an interim basis.  The purpose of the role is to be responsible for the transformation of the current maintenance operations by improving on or introducing new procedures and processes within the department whilst working with the current team to implement these successfully.

This organisation has a large estate across Edinburgh with varied building types and sizes which leads to a complex maintenance program.  They are looking to improve on their planned maintenance program and move away from reliance on reactive maintenance.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified within a relevant/related field
  • Relevant Health & Safety qualifications
  • Significant and proven success managing a large maintenance and refurbishment program across a multifaceted estate
  • Demonstrable knowledge of BMS and Estates CAFM systems
  • Team management and leadership experience
  • Evident knowledge of large budget management

In return you can expect:

  • Salary - £51,034 - £59,135 (pro rata) reflecting your experience level
  • Flexible working
  • An opportunity to work client side

This is an immediate vacancy with interviews and appointment expected in early January.  It is also a rare opportunity and would suit an individual who is an interim professional or someone who is in between roles looking for their next challenge.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone to enter the organisation and make a real difference in a short space of time.
