Peace Recruitment is working with one of Scotland's key consultancies to source a Senior Construction Health and Safety Consultant to join their Glasgow based division. The client is involved in some of the most cutting-edge and innovative projects of our time, and they are offering the chance to be a part of that.

This unique opportunity will allow you to build and lead the team, lending support and mentorship to more junior team members and working closely with Directors to build and develop the Glasgow market. A sound knowledge of the Scottish market is essential, as you will be expected to use your knowledge and experience of the market to carry out appropriate Reports and build on new and existing relationships on a large and expanding portfolio. Autonomy will be given as part of this role, so experience in taking ownership of a variety of different projects is advantageous.

Candidates will have:

  • 10+ years experience in the UK Health and Safety/CDM Market
  • Experience working with a consultancy is preferred to contractor side work.
  • Business development experience
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • A thorough knowledge of CDM Regulations and associated legislation
  • NEBOSH construction certificate or similar qualification
  • CMAPS qualification

Duties include:

  • Working as part of a team to deliver construction health and safety services including principal designer duties and the CDM Advisors role.
  • Undertake site inspections and monitoring visits to determine health and safety compliance.
  • Attend project, design and other meetings.
  • Ensure output from projects is of a high standard
  • Ability to ensure that projcts are delivered on time and on budget.

This is a permanent position and the client are looking to carry out initial interviews at the end of this week.
