As a Senior Engineer you will:

 Core duties and responsibilities

  • Maintain PM contact for project delivery and ensure that project delivery meets the client’s objectives and requirements
  • Ensure that the technical content of all work carried out is correct and completed in accordance within agreed timescales and budgets
  • Undertake elements of the detailed design and provide technical assurance input
  • Provide technical guidance, support and training to colleagues and assist, where practicable, in mentoring and development of others
  • Work in close collaboration with customers and colleagues from other disciplines in the UK and Europe
  • Produce design deliverables (including inter alia calculations, drawings, sketches, reports etc) to achieve the optimum engineering solution for the project
  • Recommend / implement improvements to technical policy, processes and design solutions and share via the knowledge management channels as appropriate

 To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Relevant post qualification structures design experience and a strong successful record of project delivery in structures design
  • Significant previous experience of providing project governance on projects
  • Ability to gain insight beyond a client’s immediate need to identify opportunities that benefit the client through meaningful and productive relationships
  • Ability to effectively influence and inspire others to achieve their potential


  • Experience of MS Excel, AutoCAD and MS Project
  • Experience of structural design and analysis software
  • BIM
  • Accredited Civil Engineering degree or equivalent

Professional Membership and Qualification:

  • Degree qualification in an engineering subject
  • Working towards Professional Membership of an appropriate institution.
