Role: Associate Mechanical Engineer
Location: Glasgow

Overview:
An established building services consultancy is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer to play a key leadership role within its Glasgow office. This position offers the opportunity to lead projects, manage and develop teams, and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring delivery of high-quality engineering solutions
• Lead and manage multiple mechanical building services projects from inception through to completion
• Oversee project delivery to agreed timeframes, budgets, and quality standards
• Support and mentor junior engineers, contributing to their technical and professional development
• Allocate resources effectively across projects and manage team workload
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external consultants
• Ensure compliance with quality systems, industry standards, and relevant legislation
• Contribute to business development by building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Assist in securing new work and maintaining a strong reputation for project delivery
• Undertake project reporting, including fee forecasting and resource planning

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
• Chartered Engineer status preferred (or working towards / equivalent experience considered)
• Proven experience within a building services consultancy environment
• Strong technical knowledge across mechanical building services design
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
