Role: Associate Mechanical Engineer

Overview:
An established building services consultancy is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer to play a key leadership role within its Glasgow office. This position offers the opportunity to lead projects, manage and develop teams, and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring delivery of high-quality engineering solutions
- Lead and manage multiple mechanical building services projects from inception through to completion
- Oversee project delivery to agreed timeframes, budgets, and quality standards
- Support and mentor junior engineers, contributing to their technical and professional development
- Allocate resources effectively across projects and manage team workload
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external consultants
- Ensure compliance with quality systems, industry standards, and relevant legislation
- Contribute to business development by building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Assist in securing new work and maintaining a strong reputation for project delivery
- Undertake project reporting, including fee forecasting and resource planning
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
- Chartered Engineer status preferred (or working towards / equivalent experience considered)
- Proven experience within a building services consultancy environment
- Strong technical knowledge across mechanical building services design
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
