We are currently partnering with a well-established property management organisation in Glasgow to recruit a Head of Commercial Property. This is a key leadership position overseeing the day-to-day management of a diverse commercial property portfolio, alongside the management and development of a small team.
The successful candidate will play a central role in delivering high-quality property management services, maintaining strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and stakeholders, and ensuring operational excellence across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a small property management team, ensuring performance targets and KPIs are met
- Oversee the full management of a commercial property portfolio
- Attend committee meetings and Annual General Meetings (AGMs)
- Act as a key contact for owners, tenants, and co-proprietors, handling day-to-day queries
- Manage lease administration, landlord and tenant relationships, and stakeholder communications
- Use property management software (TRAMPS or similar) to maintain records, process rent payments, and generate reports
- Prepare and circulate management reports ahead of AGMs, outlining key priorities and updates
- Assist in the preparation of service charge budgets across the portfolio
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards
- Liaise with credit control teams and landlords regarding arrears and debt management
- Coordinate contractors, service providers, and internal teams to deliver timely maintenance and repairs
- Maintain accurate and compliant records across all property-related activities
Experience & Skills Required
- Proven experience in a similar property management role, ideally within commercial property
- Strong leadership experience, including managing teams and delivering against KPIs
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with property management systems (TRAMPS highly desirable)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and sound understanding of compliance requirements
