The practice is multidisciplinary, bringing together environmental design, building services engineering and specialist sustainability expertise to deliver award-winning projects.

The Role
This position focuses on building certification and embodied carbon, supporting a wide range of projects across multiple sectors.
You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary design team, delivering and coordinating sustainability assessments while developing expertise in whole-life carbon and low-carbon design strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering and coordinating BREEAM and Home Quality Mark assessments
- Producing feasibility studies, credit strategies and managing certification documentation through to final certification
- Supporting embodied carbon and life cycle assessments, using tools such as One Click LCA
- Applying the RICS Whole Life Carbon (2nd Edition) methodology
- Collaborating with cost consultants, architects and engineers to inform low-carbon design decisions
- Contributing to sustainability strategies across projects at different design stages
This role would suit someone early in their career who wants to build strong technical foundations across both certification and embodied carbon.
About You
You come from a sustainability, environmental design, architecture or cost management background and are keen to deepen your expertise in low-carbon buildings.
You’re proactive, organised and comfortable managing multiple workstreams. You enjoy working collaboratively, are curious by nature, and motivated by using data and analysis to influence real-world design outcomes.
Skills & Experience
Essential / Strongly Desired
- Degree in sustainability, environmental design, architecture, quantity surveying or a related discipline
- Qualified BREEAM Assessor or willingness to become one
- Experience supporting or delivering BREEAM, Home Quality Mark or similar schemes
- Strong Excel skills
- 0–4 years’ experience in the built environment
Desirable
- BREEAM AP (or willingness to train)
- Exposure to embodied carbon or LCA work
- Experience using One Click LCA
- Familiarity with RICS Whole Life Carbon methodology
- Knowledge of other certification schemes (WELL, LEED, etc.)
- Experience working with or alongside cost consultants
